2008s End of Season Presentations

Before the Christmas break, our 2008 squad held their end of season presentations at Pro-Soccer Rouken Glen. The 2008s had 2 playing squads both playing on a Sunday at Toryglen with great progress and development shown from every player.

All the coaches were highly complimentary of all the boys and thanked them for all their efforts throughout the season.

There were 2 awards up for grabs for each squad: player of the year and most improved player of the year. The winners of these awards were:

Busby Blues

Player of the Year: Mitchell Henderson

Most Improved Player: Aaron Muir

Busby Oranges

Player of the Year: Ben Casey

Most Improved Player: Theo Hanvidge

In the gallery below you will find photos of all the winners as well as photos of the 2008 squad with their coaches.

2008s Christmas Day Out

Our 2008 squad today had the opportunity to take in the SPFL match between Hamilton Academicals and Hibernian at New Douglas Park. The boys got to go behind the scenes pre-match and have a Q+A session with Martin Canning in the home changing room. They even got to have a few shots on the pitch before the game too!

After the pre-match Q+A and playing on the pitch the squad were taken upstairs to the hospitality suites where they were fed some food and given an Accies history book for their reading.

Unfortunately the boys didn’t seem to be the good luck charm for Accies on the day but safe to say that all the boys really enjoyed themselves!

Below is a short video which was made by the media team at Hamilton Accies:
